About Adrian
Adrian’s journey towards specialising in Anger and Stress Management
Adrian has always been extremely interested in the workings of the mind, how one person’s mind could build success and happiness, while the other, chaos and despair. He commenced participating in Vipassana 10-day noble silence meditation retreats to explore the human mind further. Thereafter he performed meditation daily, reading and practicing everything he could get his hands on about the mind and human behaviour. He still sits a 10-day retreat annually.
Adrian has a thirst for topics included psychology, mindfulness, relaxation, focusing and meditation techniques, emotion control and behaviours, neuroscience, quantum physics, shamanistic healing, etc.
Who has shaped his mind.
There are many people who have altered his thinking. They include Satya Narayan Goenka, Wayne W Dyer, Eckhart Tolle, Deepak Chopra, Jon Kabat-Zinn, Dr Joe Dispenza, Rima A Morrel PhD, Wim Hof, Carl Rogers, Sigmund Freud, Thich Nhat Hanh, James Redfield, Abraham Maslow, Viktor E Frankl, Anthony Robbins and many others.

The teaching begins.
Adrian established an 8-week mindfulness meditation course because he could see many around him struggling to calm the mind. parts of this course also covered a great deal of information about our irrational belief system, and how to manage our emotions. This course was repeated back-to-back in various areas throughout Sydney and interstate for the next 5 years. During this time, Adrian delivered a mindfulness training programme for a government organisation helping over five hundred participants in stress management techniques. It became apparent that every student had a slightly different real-life concern which required help on a one-to-one basis.
More learning undertaken.
Adrian decided to obtained my Diploma in Counselling (CHC51015) during this time. Adrian noticed an increase in clients with anger problems. He was able to quickly help them through the management of their stress levels. Adrian changed his format and began to specialise in anger and stress management.

A different way of practicing.
Adrian does not deal with psycho-analytical therapies, looking back into the past to talk for hours and hours about it. The past cannot be changed. He deals with existing concerns, looking at ways to modify our beliefs and behaviours. He utilises a mixture of Rational Emotive, Cognitive Behavioural, Solution Focused, and Logo therapies. Adrian recently went back into broadening his knowledge base. He completed his Neuro Linguistic Programming, Matrix Therapy and Hypnosis certifications adding more tools to his toolbox.
“I have noticed that when I saw psychologists or counsellors in the past then I always walked away thinking that I came up with the suggestions on how to fix my concern. I felt that there was no advice offered. To add to this, many of my clients have said the same.”
It is a fact that during their studies mental health practitioners are taught not to give advice on how to fix a concern. Instead, they leave it up to the client to come up with the answers.
Do you homework
Adrian’s clients always walk away with a plan of action and a list of homework items to undertake after their sessions. He then follows them up in between visits to make sure they stay on track and are committed.
