Adrian’s Approach to Counselling
Adrian is a empathetic, understanding counsellor and life coach who truly wants to help individuals and couples get back on the road to happiness.
His services are confidential, professional, and empowering. Adrian does not deal with psycho-analytical therapies, looking back into the past to try and work out why we have concerns now. The past cannot be changed. He deals with existing concerns, looking at ways to modify our beliefs and behaviours. Adrian untilises a mixture of Rational Emotive, Cognitive Behavioural, Solution Focused, Matrix, Logo therapies, Nero Linguistic Programming and hypnosis. All the above therapies are implemented to build a better you.

The body has become accustomed to this state of being, sending signals to the brain, which in turn digs up more negativity, releasing more cortisol, building more negative pathways in the brain and the person spirals deeper and deeper into despair.

Feeling anxious then give the below a go:
- Nothing bad is actually happening to me. I can handle this situation.
- The worst case scenarios are extremely unlikely to occur. And this is not one of them.
- Realistically, I am not alone. I have many avenues where I can seek help if I need it.
- My fear and anxiety is just a feeling, it isn’t real.
- Does this feeling make sense?
- Am I thinking irrationally?
- What can I be thinking about instead of being consumed by these thoughts?
- Things are OK, I’m OK and everything will work out.
